A Fraga is a Galician special area of thick underbrush. The Fraga de Sisalde and Boedo river are both a nature area where are very important swampy pieces of land by the river and Sisalde forest as well as its etnographic wealth.
There are many examples of forest species and there are also many different reptiles, amphibians and birds such as that one called Escribano palustre. One of the most important mammal is called lontra, the queen of the river. Wherever this mammal lives rivers are in good health.
