Pastoriza Sanctuary Route

One of the traditional points of religious pilgrimage in Arteixo and the whole region of A Coruña. The Virgin of Pastoriza enjoys great popularity. Legend tells that the king suevo Rechiario, the first Christian king of Hispania, founded the church of Pastoriza in which an image of the virgin was worshiped.
The route we propose part of the municipal capital to travel along the banks of the Bolaños River until reaching the coast. We will arrive to Rañobre bordering the sea and finally to Fonte do Ouro e to the sanctuary.
Arteixo-Barrañán Promenade (Senda Azul)
The promenade Arteixo - Barrañán, also known as blue path,runs our coast from Sabón beach to Barrañán beach, connecting 7 of the 9 beaches of the Council.
Sisalde Amarela
An almost virgin space. Bucolic. Otters and kingfishers can still be seen in its crystal clear waters.

It goes through the town and its environs allows for enjoying ornithology, river life and leisure time.
